Oysters from Ecola Seafood Restaurant & Market- Cannon Beach, Pacific City
Julia and I spent the day at Cannon Beach after we stopped for lunch at Ecola Seafood Restaurant and Market. We grabbed some oysters from Ecola that we shucked on the beach and I took some photos to document the experience. This first photo is definitely one of my new favorites I’ve ever taken. I love this moment I captured of Julia, she was nervous to try the oysters and was laughing about the funny faces she was making as she was trying not to be grossed out by the oysters. This photo feels like a memory, and now I get to have this to look back on and remember this fun day at the beach, shucking oysters!
Cannon Beach was packed when we went, but it was a great day to go. It was raining pretty hard on the way there and back, yet the weather was perfect on the beach. People were flying kites, blowing giant bubbles, and camping out on the sand. It is a very touristy destination, but Haystack Rock is just such a beautiful sight, I never really mind all the people.
You can see Haystack Rock in the background. Such a beautiful photo!
A cute little photo of an oyster on the sand. I would highly recommend checking out Ecola Seafood Restaurant and Market (not sponsored by them). They’re fish and chips are some of the best I’ve ever had, especially the salmon! Their oysters were super creamy and custardy, a type I haven’t tasted before, and are really delicious! They’re really close to Cannon Beach so if you’re wanting fish and chips on your trip, I’d check them out. They also have other dishes and other fresh seafood products you can buy. It’s not a fancy place but more of a casual shop. If you’re wanting a cool atmosphere, I would recommend trying out a different restaurant.
Julia took this photo of me taking a photo of Haystack Rock. Cannon Beach will never disappoint!
